This year is flying by. To say that I’ve been busy is an understatement – I am loving it though, I can’t lie about that. Having complete autonomy over your life is an incredible feeling.
There was a period this year when I worked every day for nearly 4 months solid. By the time I came to the end of that run, I felt guilty for having a day off it become so normal, which is not in any way healthy. Fortunately, I had lots of things to make up for this period and I spent a lot of July enjoying some much-needed downtime.
I had attempted to head out to Barcelona earlier in the year but due to certain projects progressing intensively, I couldn’t give it the time it deserved. A few things materialised that would make the trip more appealing and so I went on a research trip to investigate. (These will show themselves in time, so, sorry-not-sorry for appearing cryptic with this).
Whilst out there, I managed to surprise Graffiti writer and friend ‘Arms’ (read his interview with me here). And of course, catch up with the creative powerhouse that is Andy Cooke too!
Without outlining which out of the seven types of rest I managed to experience I can safely say I had a wonderful time. Plenty of Pastabar, Galleries and Public interventions, Graff amongst the Radlers, Benidorm and Limmy jokes.
Salute! – Here’s to Barnalona!
